Don't tell me it's over...

After this week, I would like to motion for Spring Break to continue for another week. Before coming home, I was a little skeptical and had wanted to go to somewhere warm. As was not the case, I've been having an amazing time on Cape hanging out with all my friends and catching up since we've all been away. What disappoints me is the fact that my brother, who is a freshman at Marist College, arrived home two days ago. I would definitely have liked to be able to spend more time with him.
Since I have been home, I have been doing work for my dad to make some extra money to bring back to college. In my basement, I sealed the floor with concrete sealant paint and put up a ceiling in the exercise room. The fact that I was able to complete these jobs gives me a real sense of satisfaction and accomplishment; I don't feel like I wasted my break.
On the other hand, this break has also been full of fun and games. The social scene on Cape has been great and there has been something to do nearly every night. As for the days, even though the ground is still covered in partially in snow and mostly in mud, I played disc (frisbee golf) today with some friends. Burgess Park is located directly outside of my neighborhood and they have a phenomenal 18-hole disc golf course spread out through the woods. Each hole is rated between pars 3-5. Going to school in Syracuse does not allow many opportunities for outdoor activities, besides snowboarding (still, the mountains suck up in CNY). It just feels good to have spent a few hours outside rather than cooped up inside avoiding the harsh 'Cuse winter.
I do have one rant, I can't even count how many people have been bugging me about how 'Cuse lost to UVM. Friends, parents, random adults that I know, people I met at parties... Everyone around here loves UVM, but I don't need to keep hearing how they beat my school.
